Zakariyau Yusuf
Executive Director
Zakariyau has a strong background in non-profit entrepreneurship and is currently utilizing his expertise in risk governance for emerging technologies. Before that, Zakariyau successfully managed health interventions, research, and policy projects at various high-impact organizations. He founded Effective Altruism Nigeria, which promotes and enables Nigerians to use evidence-based approaches to address important issues. Zakariyau is also an alumnus of the Charity Entrepreneurship Program and a visiting fellow at Brown University Pandemic Center through its Biosecurity Game Changers Program.
Joseph Adeboye
Program Associate
Joseph is a research analyst with extensive program management experience. He is dedicated to advancing consensus and cooperation among stakeholders on AI issues in Africa. Joseph co-founded the AI Safety Hub Nigeria initiative and runs a Substack focused on AI safety and governance. He is also an alumnus of the BlueDot Transformative AI program.
David Imie Olowodun
Operations Associate
David is an operations and communications strategist, focusing on workflow management, creative development, and administrative and program support. He is passionate about optimizing internal working systems and public-facing resources to drive meaningful impact on emerging tech governance.
Patrick Stadler
Advisor
Patrick works on shaping a safe and flourishing future at Pour Demain. He co-founded and chairs the board of GiveWell-recommended nonprofit New Incentives, which he helped scale to over 100,000 users for its vaccination program in Nigeria.
Patrick was previously a political advisor for Switzerland's economic development agency and worked on strategic communications for peacebuilding and mediation at the UN.
Easter Godwin Nwokah

Dr. Easter is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Medical Laboratory Science at Rivers State University. He holds a PhD in Medical Microbiology (Molecular Microbiology). Dr. Easter's special interests include the Molecular Basis of Antimicrobial Resistance, Emerging/Re-emerging Infectious Diseases, and Biorisk Management. He has authored over 50 publications, serves as the secretary of the Nigeria Biological Safety Association (NiBSA), and is a certified biosafety professional (IFBA) and a certified Biorisk Management (BRM) Trainer.
Seth Baum
Advisor
Seth Baum leads Global Catastrophic Risks Institute (GCRI's) planning and management and contributes to its research. He is also a Research Affiliate of the Centre for the Study of Existential Risk at the University of Cambridge. Seth holds a Ph.D. in Geography from Pennsylvania State University (2012), completed a post-doctoral fellowship with the Center for Research on Environmental Decisions at Columbia University, and was a Fellow of the Emerging Leaders in Biosecurity program of the Center for Health Security at Johns Hopkins University.
